For external candidates, official transcripts will be required if you are recommended for the position.  Your degree must be from an accredited university. If the position does not require a college degree, you are required to have at least a high school diploma. Candidates with academic training and degrees granted outside the U.S. must submit a credential evaluation report that includes a statement of degree equivalency from an accredited agency in the U.S.

Salary Min:   $81,487.00

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

 

Administrator responsible for data analysis, and data innovation tools to assist with the monitoring, planning, and developing systems to support outreach operations and the small business certification programs.

 

 

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

 

1.            Directs and assists in all phases of planning, organizing, and implementing improvements for Small Business programs, including identifying and establishing annual objectives, monitoring, and documenting accomplishments of the OEEA program through the development and preparation of reports and proposals, including the management of certification and/or prequalification procedures, appeals and contract compliance hearings.

 

2.            Develop data protocols to assist with the activities of the advisory, prequalification, and debarment committees, including, but not limited to agenda preparation, correspondence, minutes, and follow-up activities.

 

3.            Oversees reviewing policies, practices, and procedures related to OEEA, Certification operations.

 

4.            Monitors small business activities with other governmental agencies for trade fairs and in-service activities.

 

 

5.            Directs and participates in the training and evaluation of Business Development and Assistance staff.

 

6.            Supervises and assists in preparing and presenting School Board Agenda Items related to operations, Contractor Pre-qualification, and Debarment activities.

 

7.            Recruit new businesses and promote the expansion of existing businesses.

 

8.            Supervises the research and review of the performance of contractor/vendors/consultants on District projects to ensure compliance with specifications, standards and regulations, as well as non-district projects in terms of performance history.

 

9.            Works closely with the Building Official, Capital Construction Attorney, School Board Attorneys, Inspectors, Project Managers, District business administrators and consultants to ensure that required and adequate documentary evidence is prepared from the inception of a project through the closeout.

 

10.         Conducts periodic seminars with appropriate staff on issues involving certification and/or prequalification

 

11.         Performs other duties related to general administrative responsibilities of the position.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

This work requires the following physical activities: sitting, mobility, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.  The work is performed primarily indoors.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

1.            Master's degree or higher in education or Bachelor’s degree in educationally-related field, communication, or a business related field such as marketing or journalism.

 

2.            Minimum of five (5) years of successful leadership experience in a professional or volunteer role with parental involvement programs.

 

3.            Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing as evidenced by clarity and conciseness of oral presentations and submitted written materials.

 

4.            Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively and constructively with all levels of school and District staff and with stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary setting.

 

5.            Knowledge of the school system education programs.
